Walking-Dead-Season-2-reviewPost apocalyptic fiction usually stars a square-jawed hero who tackles the perils of armageddon with stoic grit and hardened knuckles. He’s such a capable hero that his survival is all but assured – unless he has to nobly sacrifice his own safety for the sake of some helpless supporting character. The Walking Dead franchise uses this trope often, allowing readers and viewers to join tough guy Rick Grimes as he shepherds his family and friends through through the zombie holocaust. Telltale Games used a similar premise for their exceptional video game adaptation, but they created an original protagonist named Lee who had to care for a young girl named Clementine. To avoid spoilers, let’s just say that the first game in the series ended with Lee and Clementine going out for ice cream, adopting a puppy, and living happily ever after. The new Season 2 picks up not long after the events of Season 1, and players are now in control of Clementine as she makes her way through the zombie apocalypse, and players will learn what it’s like to explore the ruins of civilization through the eyes of a little girl.  Continue Reading
