sex_with_robots_festival reviewThe idea of sex with robots has been around almost as long as robots have existed in science fiction. The word “Robot” was created in 1920 for the play R.U.R. where it was used to describe artificial humans built for menial labor. Yet it was only five years later when filming began on Fritz Lang’sMetropolis which featured a mechanical sex vixen.  Sex and robots have been intertwined ever since.  With a title like The Sex With Robots Festival, the Caps Lock Theatre Company have pretty much guaranteed a packed house for their technophilia orgy. But robot fetishists in trench coats will be surprised to find that this theater festival contains insightful works of science fiction… alongside the roboporn.   Continue Reading
