I bought Magicka when it came out and thoroughly enjoyed it for its sense of humor and unique twist of the Action RPG genre. But the developer, Arrowhead Game Studios just wouldn’t lie back and enjoy their cult following and glowing reviews. Oh no, they had to go and pump out a non-stop stream of downloadable content for their little cliché-busting romp through a magical wonderland. It’s been a little over a year since the game was first released and there are already thirteen DLC packs for it. Wondering how it has changed with all of this extra material, I fired up Magicka for the first time in a long while and tried out all of the new stuff to see if the wise gamer should invest in this avalanche of DLC.
